1. General Information

Event Date: Sunday, 29th September

Location: St Francis Catholic College, Edmonson Park

2. Eligibility

Age Groups:

• Under 10s

• Under 12s

• Under 14s

• Under 16s

• All Age/Parents

Team Composition:

Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players.

Players can only register for one team per age group.

Registration Fee: $200 per team, payable upon registration.

3. Registration

Deadline: All teams must register by Sunday the 22nd of September 2024.

Fee Payment: The registration fee of $200 must be paid in full during the registration process. No refunds will be provided for teams that withdraw after registration.

Team Rosters: Final team rosters must be submitted 22nd of September 2024. Changes to rosters will not be permitted after this date.

4. Competition Format

Tournament Style: Each age group will compete in a knockout-style tournament, culminating in a final to determine the winner.

Game Rules: The competition will follow the official FIBA 3x3 basketball rules with the following adaptations:

• No check ball required

• Timing: 10 minute game or first to score the predetermined amount of points. Under 10s & 12s will have x2 5 minute halves with a 120 second break between both halves

• Scoring: First team to score 21+ points or more points with a lead of 2 points or the team with most point at the end of 10 minutes will be marked with a win and will proceed to the next round.

• Substitutions can be made on any dead ball. 

• Each team may utilise a 60 second timeout per game.

• In case of a tie, the game will go into sudden death, with the first team to score winning.

Referees: All games will be officiated by certified referees. Their decisions are final.

5. Player and Team Conduct

Sportsmanship: All players and teams are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship and respect towards referees, opponents, and organisers. Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.

Uniforms: Teams are required to wear matching jerseys or t-shirts. Pinnies will be provided if teams do not have matching attire.

Injuries: Players participate at their own risk. Organisers will have first aid available, but are not liable for any injuries sustained during the competition.

6. Prizes and Giveaways

Winners: Prizes will be awarded to the winning team in each age group. The nature of the prizes will be determined by the organisers.

Giveaways: Giveaways will be distributed throughout the day at the discretion of the organisers. Participants must be present to claim their prize.

7. Liability and Waivers

Waiver of Liability: By registering, all participants agree to release and hold harmless Jump Basketball, St Francis Catholic College, and all associated parties from any liability related to personal injury or loss/damage to property.

Parent/Guardian Consent: For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a consent form agreeing to these terms and conditions.

8. Organiser’s Rights

Schedule Changes: The organisers reserve the right to modify the event schedule, format, or rules as necessary. All participants will be notified of any changes.

Disqualification: The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any team or player for violating these terms and conditions or for any behavior deemed inappropriate.

Event Cancellation: In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, emergencies), the organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event. Registration fees will be refunded in such cases.

9. Media Release

Photography and Videography: By participating, players and teams consent to being photographed and/or filmed during the event. These images and videos may be used by Jump Basketball for promotional purposes.

10. Agreement

By registering for the Jump Basketball 3v3 Competition, all players, coaches, and associated persons agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
